  272. PPMTOXPM.ZIP This archive contains the source and man
  273.                               page for a "ppmtoxpm" tool which
  274.                               transforms an image from the ppm
  275.                               (portable pixmap) format, found in the
  276.                               pbmplus utilities, to the XPM format.
  277.                               XPM is an ASCII based *color* pixmap

  281. TRIPLAS.ZIP  --- triplas.cpp --- A variation on the
  282.                               original plasma algorithm (by Bret
  283.                               Mulvey) by David Johnston. The old
  284.                               plasma introduced artifacts into its
  285.                               creation in the form of virticle and
  286.                               horizontal definition lines. This was
  287.                               especially apparent when the plasma
  288.                               screen was projected three
  289.                               dimentionally. So I decided to write a
  290.                               plasma based on a triangle, in stead of
  291.                               the traditional rectangle. This program
  292.                               was written for Turbo C++ v3.0. With
  293.                               little modification it should compile
  294.                               all right under other compilers. It
  295.                               should compile flawlessly under Borland
  296.                               C++. Last modified March 1st, 1995.
  297. VC287P.ZIP   Visual C++ 1.x has a problem with 287
  298.                               synchronization on 80286 systems with
  299.                               80287 co-processors: a timing problem
  300.                               which doesn't affect the 387 or 486
  301.                               (chip detection is not the problem).
  302.                               This problem way show up in incorrect
  303.                               results from sin(), cos(), and tan()
  304.                               functions. The EMTRIGX.OBJ file in this
  305.                               directory contains an only partially
  306.                               tested fix for this problem with 80287
  307.                               chips. The batch file, PATCH287.BAT,
  308.                               will patch the fix into the affected
